Visitation November 1997

Jesus spent a whole day with John in a motel in Pasadena giving instruction regarding a transition in ministry that would be taking place at the beginning of 1998. He was told to anoint Betty with oil and set her apart to preach the gospel. She was then to anoint him with oil and pass on to him the mantle of intercession that she has carried for over 25+ years. The oil had been placed in Betty’s hands the first day of the conference when a lady gave it to her. While Betty was dancing before the Lord, a lady put a bottle of oil in her hand and said, “This oil is from Israel and God told me to give it to you.” Then walked away. Betty thought that was nice, but did not understand the significance of it at all, showing it to John and then forgetting about it. Jesus told John that oil was for this purpose.  It was a very special time in the presence of God as John anointed Betty with oil and set her apart to preach the gospel telling her "His Word is in you like fire in your bones."

On the trip back home, John shared the upcoming “transition” with Rick & Vickie, Dan & Cathy, and Yvonne Stafford so they could be praying with us. We would start fasting for direction on January 1, 1998.

Prophetic Dream
3 a.m. January 18, 1998

It started with bears attacking people. Then those watching would put the attacked folks who were injured and weak out for the bears to finish off instead of helping them escape. John was very upset over this and could not understand what these people were doing or why.

Then the scene changed to John and a young man about to do drugs. The young man had the drugs in his hand and was about to use them, when John suddenly knocked them out of the young man’s hand as God’s LIGHT came from behind John and coursed through his RIGHT hand. He put his hand on the young man’s chest and picked him up. The power of God went through the young man like lightening as he was lifted off the ground about two feet. When John put him back down on the ground, the young man was dancing in the Spirit and totally set free!

Then the Lord spoke to John and said, "Come out from there so you can work to build My Kingdom." We shared the dream with Rick and he agreed that we were to move on. He and the elders prayed over us and thanked us for our work there. Then we were prayed over as a congregation as Rick prayed and Vickie laid hands on us and sent us out. February 2, 1998. The next week in the middle of the night, Jesus came to John on his bed and told him he would be starting a ministry and that the name of the ministry would be

"NEW LIFE WORSHIP MINISTRIES"

On March 8, 1998, we began the legal process of founding the ministry with the State of California, USA.  In July of 1998, we were incorporated with the State of California. After meeting in our home for several months, we acquired the Native Sons Hall on Main Street in Murphys.  The first meeting at the hall was October 11, 1998. October 5, 2000, we received our Recognition status with the IRS.

During the beginning of NLWM, due to persecution over the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, we did not have a church to attend. We were having “church at home” Sunday, February 21, 1998, and John was really missing fellowship with the brethren. When we opened to Daily Light, the Word for that morning read: “I am the Lord which sanctify you. I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people. And ye shall be holy unto Me: for I the Lord am holy and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine!”

After the service was pretty much over, a woman who was on the worship team came down from the platform to tell us that while she was ministering in worship, she had a vision for us. She had prayed that we would stay long enough for her to tell us, and we did. This is what she saw:

A huge field, ready to harvest, outlined in BLOOD RED! It was our field! There were about 10 – 12 brand new COMBINES parked all around this huge field just waiting to be used for the harvest. But there was NO ONE in sight to operate them. She said we had a huge harvest promised to us because of MANY YEARS OF INTERCESSION SOWING SEED!!! But we had no qualified workers who knew how to operate the equipment. So she prayed that God would send us workers who were skilled and ready to harvest.

Within two months of this vision, we were shown a video in Canada of an actual harvesting of a field that was ripe for harvest, but the non profit organization did not have the equipment to do it. The wheat was for the poor and underprivileged. So they sent out a call and farmers who owned COMBINES came from all over the country and helped with the harvesting of this huge field. There were about 15 COMBINES with experienced operators. They HARVESTED THE WHOLE FIELD IN ONE DAY!!! Wow! Do it Lord ! Amen!

Prophecy given by Rick Wright
for John & Betty Jordan – 2/11/99, Family Christian Center, Orangevale

First of all, I see a very strong anointing of intercession on this sister and I really want to bless it. More, because the power comes…we really want to bless it…(watch out for her glasses brother…it matches). Well Lord, I pray right now in Jesus name that You make her a mother in Israel for Your glory and Lord God, for Your name’s sake, Lord You anoint her. Lord I pray that You get her up in the night Lord. He’s going to awake you in the night my sister. God has things for you to birth. He has responsibility for you in the Spirit. He’s going to use you like you’ve never been used. The Lord says I’m getting ready to reveal My heart to you. I’m getting ready to show Myself to you. Daughter, if you seek My face, you will find Me. I’m getting ready to transform you by My glory that comes off of My face. I’m gonna do this for My people. I’m gonna transform My people. I’m gonna do it by My glory that comes off of My face. My love, My goodness, My mercy, My zeal will perform it. It’s your job and others to report to the throne of grace and I will call you and I will even anoint you by My Spirit, by My love and by My mercy and by My grace. And you will birth things, many things by My Spirit. Many things shall be birthed in the next 7 to 8 months by My Spirit. Oh how you will change the course of many things that were going in the wrong direction for I have made you one who will help turn My river by My love and by My mercy and by My great grace. I will call you in the night and I will call you in seasons of prayer. Amen. Thank you Lord. Bless her.

Now Lord we pray for my brother here. What’s his name? John? John. We pray for him Lord. God we pray in the name of Jesus, let Your holy anointing oil come in the name of Jesus. Lord I thank You for the power, the power of the Holy Spirit to win souls, to win souls to win souls, brother, to win souls, Lord. Thank You. I thank You Lord for the power to win souls, in Jesus name. You’re a rescuer, brother. You’re a rescuer. You’re going to rescue the perishing. The Lord’s giving you a lifeboat to throw all kinds of life rafts everywhere. Everywhere you go, everywhere you go. They’re perishing, they’re perishing. The Lord says you’re gonna draw them up, you’re gonna get a hold of them; you’re gonna say; “it’s all right, it’s all right, it’s all right. You’re a rescuer. You and your wife. You’re a lighthouse. The Lord says you’re a lighthouse. You’re a beacon of light; you’re a beacon of love. Oh, oh yes Lord. Thank You. Thank you Lord. Oh my God. SOULS….. You’re a soulwinner. Hallelujah Lord. Amen. Let’s worship the Lord!

Baptism
Sunday, October 28, 2001

It was a cold gloomy day at White Pines Lake as we walked on to the beach for the Baptismal Service. Each of us came ready for a very cold afternoon as rain had been forecast! This is not the normal time of year for a Baptismal service in the high Sierras, but these precious folks were very ready to make a public confession of their faith in Jesus Christ. Their heart’s desire was to leave their past in the waters of Baptism and rise in resurrection life.

As we began to worship on the beach, suddenly the clouds began to move and the heavens opened to let the sun shine down upon us! Our wonderful heavenly Father gave us a beautiful window of sunshine which lasted the whole baptismal service! It closed just as we were walking back into shore with the last individual.

Knowing how cold it could be, I was actually pricing wetsuits for this event! Seeing the cost, I opted out for prayer. I asked Jesus to warm the waters for us. One of the young women, as we took her hands and led her out to be baptized, had a sheer look of terror on her face as she entered these cold waters. After she was baptized and we had worshipped the Lord together a bit, she stood there in the water and so calmly said, “It’s not cold!” Yes, it was absolutely amazing; like warm oil all over us. John and I were in the water for about 45 minutes and yet neither of us were cold. During the baptisms, every now and then a fresh warm wind would come upon us as we worshipped in the water. It was wonderful. We thank the Lord for His constant and generous grace in our lives. He alone is worthy to be praised.
