In the wake of the martyrdom of Christians worldwide ... so many killed while gathering for worship and prayer: In all seasons of life, always remember that no one, no circumstance, no government, no hateful, demonized terrorist/terrorists (at home or abroad), can take away our freedom to pray, and to believe that Jesus Christ is God who has come in the flesh. He gave up His own life to grant us mercy, freedom, liberty and the grace to overcome any sin, weakness or difficulty! He gives us grace upon grace to forgive those who persecute us, even in the face of martyrdom! I call this “dying” grace! Jesus set the example for us all when He died for our sins on the cross, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!” As St. Stephen was being stoned to death, he was in prayer for those who were killing him! Acts 7:59-60 “As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He fell to his knees, shouting, 'Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!' And with that, he died.” 24/7/365 >>> Jesus Christ is Emmanuel, God with us! May God bless our nations with a baptism of repentance, beginning with those who are called by His name. I pray that waves of holiness and the fear of the Lord will roll across the earth, bringing in wave after wave of prodigal sons and daughters, husbands and wives, priests and prophets. In Jesus name, amen and amen. So be it Lord. John 15:11-15..."I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is My commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command.....Now you are My friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." Shoulder to shoulder, and grace upon grace, Betty Jordan |

I like what Bobby Connor is saying about 2015 ... “THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH is awakening and arousing a radical remnant of
over-comers ready to contend for the faith, ready to challenge and change the
course of the church. Thus altering the culture in which we live. We must
function as salt and light to lead a contaminated culture to light and life in
Christ. This occurs best when we simply become who we are destined to be, sons
and daughters of the most HIGH God.
This is the season of harvest! All of heaven is alert and attentive to
our actions this is not the time to be timid or fearful. It is such an honor to
be alive in the Kingdom of God during these days (see-Esther 4:14). As Esther
was informed that she was in the kingdom for such a time as this, we need to be
reminded that, "the kingdom is in us for such a time as this!”

As God would have it, yesterday turned out to be a day of prayer, research and
writing about the heart-breaking reality of the "Fatherless
Generation." Thankfully, we can all rejoice in the PROMISE of God to intervene! This is not a new
subject for me, but I felt a nudging from God our Father to address it for yet
another generation. I've been looking up different translations of this
wonderful verse God gave me years ago re: the loss of parents. (By the
time you finish reading each of these translations of the very same verse (see bottom of this post), it
will be a very rich life-giving, thirst-quenching revelation for you to share
liberally!)
Loss through death is tragic enough. However, within our declining
society, so many children, both young and adult have lost a parent due to drugs,
alcohol, sexual immorality, divorce, homelessness, withdrawal, depression,
betrayal, abandonment, etc. Sadly, it is often so painful, that the feelings of rejection, abandonment and betrayal make it extremely difficult for the heart-broken child to live a full and victorious lifestyle, often repeating the same pattern - for generations! In many ways, this can be worse than death itself, for this kind of 'loss' affects a whole society. So what do we do??? Jesus gave us His example when on the Cross, He prayed, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." When I was young, I didn't understand this at all. How could they NOT know they were killing??? As I have gone through the ebb and flow of life, I have learned that some have been so abused in their own lives, that they really don't know the difference between right and wrong! So how does one forgive heartbreak? How does one heal from a broken heart? I can assure those in such devastation that there is a way out! Jesus made a way and He provides His "anointing" to forgive even the unspeakable! In 4 decades of experience, I have personally witnessed this miracle! Therefore I know experientially, we can ask for the grace to forgive as Jesus forgave, even in His last breath ... it is never too late! Certainly, we never condone, enable or approve of sin, but we must forgive others their sins against us, or our own sins cannot be forgiven. (Mark 11:20; Matthew 6:12) And, if we choose not to forgive, then we are choosing torment for ourselves. (Matthew 18:34) Hence, God calls us to forgive those who've hurt us (even 7 X 70), and release them to God for His grace and mercy to manifest in their lives. As you pray for them (or anyone who has broken your heart), accept our heavenly Father's love and healing for your broken heart, receiving and accepting The Father's Love who will never abandon or betray us. Significantly, the fact that a parent has removed themselves from the lives of their offspring, could be the mercy of God for the child! To protect them! Only God knows what could have happened if they had remained in their life. We don't know everything, so we must trust in God who knows all things. He knows how to make all things beautiful in His time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) Hearing horrible stories of abuse over the decades, I am in awe of how God has literally taken a child up in the very midst of the very worst suffering. One woman told me that during all the years her father sexually abused her as a little girl, she would be lifted out of her body into the arms of the Father, thereby escaping the physical abuse! Consequently, for years, she has been counseling women who have suffered sexual abuse. Hence, her years of abuse bring forth treasures of healing for others. Hence, Psalm 27:10 ... I love how the Hebrew has so many different meanings for the same words - some translators are drawn more to one definition than others. Oftentimes, it is a picture, even a 'moving' picture that God is communicating to us re: a specific Word. Hence, I felt to post MOST all of the translations I found yesterday. Take your favourites for those you love and pray for ... it is HIS CREATIVE WORD - STILL ALIVE AND ACTIVE TODAY! His Word is settled forever in Heaven. It will not return unto Him void. It prospers wherein it is sent! Isaiah 55:11 You are not abandoned! Emmanuel = God is with you! Let Him draw you close to "rest, dwell, tabernacle" between His shoulders. Deuteronomy 33:12 From this position, through forgiveness and faith that works through love, even if you don't know where your prodigal parent lives, you can pray for their salvation, deliverance, healing and reconciliation to the Cross, your family, and their God-ordained destiny. In some cases, God won't bring them back home until He's finished the work in them first, so wait for His wisdom and timing; wait with expectation and faith that works through love. As a result, you will see a change in your own life. Other times, it is a part of a death-bed experience, as the prodigal parent is encouraged to "make things right with God and family." God's plan is for good and not for evil to give each of you a future and a hope. Even if the parent is missing, or no longer alive, this spiritual principle still works! As you forgive, you are released from carrying all that sorrow, disappointment, and even the curse that was carried in the family. It is time for His blessings to take over and swallow up the curse of sin that brought so much sorrow. Praying for the "fatherless" generation: Luke 1:17; Malachi 4:6 ... God will turn the hearts of the fathers/parents back to the children. Joel 2:25-32 ...God will restore the years that the locusts have eaten, in Jesus name, Amen. Hey! It's all about Redemption, in Jesus name, Amen! Psalm

Way back in the late 70's, early 80's, I went through an extremely difficult season of sorrow and loss. During that 5 years, I was meditating in and through the book of Job, literally one verse at a time. It was during this time that Jesus made Job 42:2 so very real to me. It was said by Job AFTER God confronted him, and BEFORE he forgave his friends and all was restored to him. Job answered God, "I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained, withheld, or thwarted." Ever since that time, whenever there is difficulty, this is my prayer too. The circumstances that surround us, the conditions of the the world we live in, the the condition of our families, bodies, society - none of these change who God is! He is still Almighty God, Sovereign Deliverer, Saviour, and King of Kings. He is still Captain of the Lord of Hosts, our Mighty Warrior. And He is still Faithful and True, Merciful and Kind. Let us praise His Holy Name! Amen and amen! |

January 26, 2013 was my very first
"Walk For Life." This event struck my heart personally. Why? In 1966,
when I was 19 years old I found myself pregnant outside of wedlock. I was going
to school at the time, living in the nurse's dorm and fully expecting to become
a nurse. I was not planning on getting pregnant, married or raising a family.
When I told my boyfriend that I was pregnant, he then told his buddies who were
quick to offer finances to fly my boyfriend and I to Mexico for an abortion.
When my boyfriend presented this 'offer' to me, even though I had no faith at
the time, I immediately said, "NO! I don't care if you're going to stick
around or not. I have a baby in my womb, and if I have to, I will raise my baby
alone." The look on his face was bewilderment, and his response was, “I
thought so ...” Fast forward
>>> that baby is now 45, and she has given me 2 delightful grandsons. So rather than carry a sign, I carried her picture ... I have prayed with more
than one woman whose hearts have been broken, some for decades, over their
decision to end the life of the baby in their womb. Jesus heals their hearts
too. Therefore, because of God's grace in my own life, I walked for the babies whose lives were never given a chance, the babies whose
lives are threatened each day; and for the mothers and fathers who made such a
grievous decision - many without the benefit of the truth. So
many victims! I heard the stories of
young girls and women who were forced, some by threat of violence, by family
and/or their boyfriends to have an abortion ... And the fathers who never got a
chance to save their baby. And the grandparents who were robbed of their
grandchildren. And now my thoughts on Walk For Life: Wow! What a day! The Walk for Life yesterday was very interesting. As one who "watches" a lot, I also
"listen" a lot. Hence, I
"see" and I "hear" things that some would miss in such a
huge gathering. According to the Mercury
News, there were around 50,000 marchers. They were sincere, kind and often thanking the police for their service. Feeding the homeless as they passed by. I was clearly present with those 50,000 marchers, yet, in a sweet way, I was more
aware of God's smile upon us as we stepped out in love to acknowledge His
creation of each child given by His will and His love. As a result of carrying her picture, more than one would stop me and
ask me “why?” And I would tell my story
of how I was offered money to cover a flight and an abortion in Mexico so that
she would not be born. I was pleasantly surprised at how Jesus touched my story with His love, comfort and even joy, as they would then tell me
their story! The lovely lady I drove down with had 2 abortions when she was young. When she got pregnant out of wedlock the 3rd time, she chose life for that child and gave him up for adoption. As a result of such loss, she found Jesus and has dedicated her life to helping other women through their crisis. Whether they choose life or death, she makes sure they know that she is there for them afterwards ... now 65, she has many "daughters" who have received God's healing graces.
One of the stories that impressed me the most was from a homeless man (30-40
yrs. Old) who had stopped me and asked about my picture. I told him my story, and his face broke out
in a 'knowing' smile. He proceeded to tell
me, in graphic detail, that his mother had tried to abort him twice! And how, he is her favourite child! In that moment, even in his homeless
condition, he knew God had spared him for a purpose! As did I! Immediately, the Holy Spirit came upon me to
prophesy God’s great blessings over him, speaking forth his destiny in Christ
Jesus. He got so blessed that he turned
to his friend (also homeless, probably around my age, in a wheelchair), and
started telling him, “Hey Papa, you gotta hear this lady’s story!” Again I told my story, and he got
blessed too! So, I prayed a blessing over
him as well. He shook my hand; the three of us shared a sweet "God" hug, and I ran to catch up with our
group.
About a block earlier, there was a group of about ten young black men (under 30), who were
loudly and boisterously heckling the marchers with very graphic profanity. Without realizing it, I found myself
surrounded by them, like a little old lady in the middle of a huge forest of
trees! Suddenly, one of them noticed my
picture of Julie! (He seemed to
be the leader of the group). He immediately stopped his profane speech, looked down at me, and
asked me why I was carrying her picture. By this time, a hush had come over all of them as I told my story. It was like the Lord just turned the light on for them, and they also understood “Why!” (I will continue to pray for those boys ... I can still see their faces
quite clearly.) And again, I ran to catch up ...
And then, there were the pro-abortion protestors ... not many, but very loud, screaming such vitriole through their bullhorns. In the morning, as I was approaching United Nations Plaza, I first heard, then saw them. I wanted to stop and get to know them, and hear their stories. However, it was very clear they were not ready. So much pain! I felt so sorry for them. So I prayed for God's mercy upon their future ... Later in the afternoon, while we were walking, one lady was standing above us behind a policeman, angrily screaming at the marchers ... including the elderly, some walking w/help, a few in wheelchairs, children with their parents, fathers
who’d lost their children to abortion on demand ... she was so upset, it didn't seem human. I thought
she’d have a heart attack right there. I
tried to reach out to her in love ... I thought if I could just give her a
gentle touch from Jesus, that He would surely break through her pain. She did look down at me for a moment, but the
officer in front of her told me, “I’m sorry Mam, but no exchange allowed.” So, I told him how sad I was feeling for her
and how much pain she was in, and he agreed with me. I showed him my picture w/a very brief
explanation and he said, “God bless you! And thank you for your love.” I gave him a hug and ran to catch up with my
group once again. Over the last 4 decades, I have
prayed with more than one re: the pain and regret of their abortions. Some are sterile because of the damage done
to their bodies in abortion clinics. One of our own family members almost bled to death when she was a young teenager following an abortion provided during school hours without her parents knowledge! Thank God she was home and they were able to get her to the hospital before she died from blood loss! So scary! Who knows how many young girls and women are now sterile or have died. But God! So many have now received forgiveness and healing for their pain. And some have received their miracle – a baby of their own. Others have gone on to adopt a child. A few of the younger women are still hoping they will have a child of their own someday. Through this walk, I witnessed “Silent, No
More.” It is a group of women who share their stories of abortion and regret. The actress, Jennifer O'Neil, was one of the many sharing their testimony. This group of women now work tirelessly to help other women avoid
that fatal decision. I also learned of a secular pro-life group based on science. They will be taking their pro-life, pro-woman, pro-science message to the American Atheist Convention March 25-26 ... God bless them! It's
been several years since I used to go out with the SF Dream Center/City
Ministries. I wanted so much to spend the whole day just on Market
Street ... Lord willing, we'll be back with the love of God, food,
supplies, toiletries, socks, and the gospel of John. Thank
you for letting me "think out loud, pondering these things in my heart"
... I thank our Father for the grace and mercy to liberally share His
love in Jesus name by the power of the Holy Spirit. And you can too ...
following Jesus and watching Him bless each one! Grace upon grace, Betty Jordan John 1:16 ... "Of His fullness, we have all received grace upon grace." Luke 4:16-21 ... Jesus came to Nazareth where he had been reared. As he always did on the Sabbath, he went to the meeting place. When he stood up to read, he was handed the scroll of the prophet Isaiah (61:1-3). Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written, "God’s Spirit is on me; he’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the burdened and battered free, to announce, “This is God’s year to act!”

One day,
when I was out walking, a beautiful young woman w/her precious newborn baby
approached me with her cardboard sign asking for help. (Normally, I would
have taken her grocery shopping.) However, I didn't have anything on
me to help her, but I wasn't far from my car, so I told her to come with me and
I'd give her something. Well, she couldn't understand me, and even though
I was pointing toward my car on the other side of the parking lot, she turned
and walked away. I called my friend Mary who speaks Spanish, in hopes she
could interpret for me, but my call went straight to voice mail. When I
got back to my car, I got some stuff together for her, and then went back
looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found. So, I prayed, trusting
Jesus to take care of her and her baby. (I still pray for her ...) That wasn't
the only time I've needed Spanish to communicate with someone in need, so I’ve
also been thinking, “Why didn’t I just open my mouth and speak in tongues, as in
The Bood of Acts 2 ??? I’ve had the gift of “diverse tongues” since the 1970’s, and
sometimes recognize the languages, so I do believe that in situations like
this, the Holy Spirit would speak just as He did in Acts 2:8-11. Selah … |

I am a writer, not "published," but a writer. It all started when my mother gave me a "diary" for my tenth birthday. She told me to write my thoughts and prayers in it. I have been keeping a diary/journal ever since. I have written so much, that I have a trunk filled with journals! There are several books in me waiting for God's "kairos" time to manifest. Some day, I will publish ... for now, I will just put my thoughts, a tiny taste of what I see Jesus doing in the lives of those I meet by His design ...
