Ministering the Baptism in the Holy Spirit by Don Basham
The NLWM Team of Ministers ...
“Betty lives life with the powerful anointing of an overcomer. ‘More than a conqueror in Christ,’ she carries and imparts that same anointing to all who will hear and receive.” Georgian Banov, Global Celebration
In Betty's own words ... "My life is not my own; it has been bought with a price. Yet not I, but Christ in me! I have offered my body as a living sacrifice, set apart for God, as my spiritual service of worship. Living my life "on call" for those in crisis, I follow Jesus around and watch Him bless people everywhere He sends me ... to the lost, the dying, the forsaken and the abandoned. Whether the elderly or the homeless, the sick or the poor, the believer or the unbeliever, He brings His love, comfort, healing, and even His dying graces. I did not choose Him; He chose me to go forth and produce fruit that remains. The fruit of the Spirit being the most desirable! Out of His deep wells of salvation, His living waters pour forth of His grace and His mercies which are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness! I am in awe of Him!" Isaiah 61
Job 42:2 ... "I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained, withheld, or thwarted."

Richard & Mary Chaboya
NLWM Pastors, Founding Board/Advisors
It is with great love and joy that we introduce to you Richard & Mary Chaboya, lifetime friends and founding board members of NLWM. No matter how difficult or impossible a situation, Jesus has given them an abundant supply of mercy, grace, forgiveness and love to stand in faith and believing prayer for God's divine will and good pleasure! Why do they believe so strongly without wavering...? Because their own marriage was dead, and miraculously resurrected overnight! God's miracle of salvation has given them great faith, mercy and grace to share God's healing and restoration of broken marriages.
They have laid down their lives to serve Jesus in anyway God has designed. Their ministry has reached so many, not only in the church, but also through hospitality and healing. They minister in hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes bringing much peace and comfort, joy and encouragement to the elderly.
They know what it is to suffer, yet receive the grace of our Lord Jesus to keep their eyes fixed on Him. They have opened their hearts and their home to all. They minister as they see the Father ministering in the moment.
The Upper Room was birthed by the Lord for the same purposes of Worship and Intercession as they cry out to God for His Name to be honoured in the Church and our nation.
Richard and Mary are ordained ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through NLWM. They have also served as Deacons for many years at The Father's House in San Jose; and board members for Gerry and Peggy Fry of Mt. Hermon Ministries, in Washington. Richard and Mary have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Ilona Wilson, NLWM Minister
NLWM Executive Board Secretary
Ilona is a vibrant, passionate prophetic minister of encouragement and vision. She is a gift to the Body of Christ, blessed with much treasure in her hope chest! She is generous in heart and full of love for all, whether the greatest or the least. A faithful friend of God and of us.
She is also a woman of great faith and no compromise. She has been on the NLWM team since 2003, serving as Executive Secretary and one of my two Ministry Assistants.
Recognizing that Jesus had already ordained her since before the foundation of the world, she was New Life Worship Ministries first candidate for ordination. Ilona has a gift of ministering healing and comfort to those who are suffering. Her compassion flows from the deep wells within her own life. She is currently very involved in street ministry and homeless outreach.
Degrees: Paralegal from DeAnza College; Administration & Justice from San Jose State
Ilona, and her husband Rick have five sons and a daughter. One of their sons, Benjamin Michael, is in Heaven with Jesus. Out of a well of great sorrow, Jesus has given much comfort and joy which is so freely shared with others.
Steve & Claudia Klann, NLWM Ministers
Steve & Claudia Klann, located in Redding, CA, have a passion to bring freedom and healing to people and relationships by releasing the reality and love of the Kingdom of God.
Claudia's pastor-heart is for people. She leads a small group of women; regularly provides one-on-one discipling; coaches people into their destiny; and volunteers with Bethel Healing Rooms, Prayer Team, and Sozo Center. You can learn more about Claudia and her Coaching ministry at:
Steve is pursuing God's call to write a book revealing the emotions and actions behind relationship struggles using God's Word. Yet, this book is intended for the non- (or pre-) believer. His desire is that this book is a gateway or bridge toward faith in Jesus Christ. Writing is Steve's new full time job, but he still loves meeting with and encouraging men in their daily lives.
Steve & CLaudia also volunteer as "mama and papa" to a second year revival group of 60 young people in BSSM.
Steve and Claudia have 3 beautiful daughters, 3 handsome sons-in-law, and 7 fantastic grandchildren.

Matthew 22:9 says “Go out into the busiest intersections
in town and invite anyone you find to the banquet.”
Since April 2008, Anthony served as Senior Pastor of Bethany Congregational Church in Santa Barbara, California. Anthony writes, "After twenty-one years as a full-time pastor in student ministries and senior pastor, my family and I are immersing ourselves in Liquid Church. What is Liquid Church? Well, its the body of Christ meeting in all public places including parks, beaches, coffee shops and homes."
Four ingredients of our gatherings! (Acts 2:42)
- Fellowship including a meal
- Reading the scriptures
These four ingredients serve as a guide in our gatherings allowing the Holy Spirit room to move and speak in a intimate setting.
We love the "Brick & Mortar" model of church, but I bet each one of us knows someone who will never walk through the doors of a church building? Why is that true? The answer is many fold including a fear of organized religion, hurts from the past, etc. However, if you invite someone to your home, park or the beach for a informal gathering that centered itself around a meal, worship and prayer, I believe most people would attend.
Please pray for the flowering of house gatherings ...
[After serving with YWAM for 5 years, Anthony pastored for 14 years in San Jose, CA and Nashville, TN. He received his Masters from Southwestern Christian University.
Anthony is a California native surfer. Anthony & Elizabeth just celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary. They have 2 daughters and a granddaughter.]
Retired US Army Colonel and City Manager
“Tens of thousands of young people around the world are answering the call to take the gospel to every nation, tongue and tribe (Revelation 7:9); the fulfillment of the great commission can for the first time in history be fulfilled in the lifetime of the children of my generation. There are approximately 7,000 unreached people groups, many in the most austere, remote, volatile and dangerous parts of the world. The missional “tip of the spear” are the young people, sometimes referred to as “forerunners”, who just like John the Baptist empowered with a spirit of Elijah anointing are preparing the way for Jesus second coming. Mature men and women -- those with father and mother hearts are desperately needed to resource, encourage, and help mobilize the endtime army of young people who are destined to answer the call as modern day forerunners.”
Calling scripture: “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.” Malachi 4:5-6. Tim is called to be a father to this generation ominously and prophetically labeled the “Fatherless Generation”.
Until recently, Tim was a widower, having lost his beloved wife, Paula in 2013. They have 3 sons L-R: Daniel, Nathan & Jordan. Charting the path ahead of them, God led Tim to Susu while serving on a mission trip. As led by God, they recently married. Susu has a beautiful smile that reflects the love of Jesus. Together, they are now serving Him with all their hearts, engaging believers of all ages to come alive ,stepping into their true identity and calling growing ever deeper in intimacy with God. Congratulations!
